Tackling Community Health & Wellness
On National Cancer Survivors Day®, Sunday, June 2, 2024, Peer Plus Education and Training Advocates will recognize those in our community who are living with and beyond cancer and raise awareness of the challenges of survivorship. National Cancer Survivors Day® is a worldwide Celebration of Life for everyone who has been touched by cancer – cancer survivors, family members, medical professionals, and friends.
This day provides an opportunity for America’s 18+ million cancer survivors to share their stories, connect with other cancer survivors, celebrate milestones, and recognize those who have supported them along the way. “A survivor is anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life,” according to the National Cancer Survivors Day® Foundation.
Tickets are $50 per person, via ZELLE to (312)914-1186. Tickets are tax deductible. Summer casual attire.
Sponsors for this Peer Plus event include Exact Sciences Corporation / Cologuard, the University of Illinois Cancer Center and The University of Chicago Medicine.
